The first software-defined vehicle for the U.S. will be the electric Golf, arriving in 2029 with a new Scalable System Platform (SSP). Meanwhile, Project Trinity remains active, with updates expected after 2032.
Efforts continue towards enabling Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities with Rivian's e-architecture.
