Lotus is celebrating its F1 legacy with five special edition Emiras, each inspired by iconic vintage racers. Among these is a tribute to Ayrton Senna with two designs: the 'Shadow Grey' and gold, reminiscent of the Type 97T from his maiden victory, and a vibrant yellow that mirrors the Type 99T he drove to eight podiums in 1987.
For fans seeking a deeper nostalgic experience, Lotus offers liveries honoring earlier legends:
- Type 78: The first vehicle to harness ground effect technology.
- Type 86: A unique prototype from 1980.
Embracing its roots, Lotus's final edition pays homage to the Type 25, a green and yellow marvel that led Jim Clark to his 1963 championship, achieving 14 victories over three years.
Beyond the striking liveries, each Emira features bespoke badges on the B-pillars and dashboard, complemented by a robust twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Expect a swift 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 171 mph.
This exclusive collection is limited to 12 units per design, totaling just 60 cars. Each masterpiece is available for €98,107 (£81,430).
