Forget the rumors: Roadkill isn't disappearing from the streaming scene. Although the series wraps up after 167 episodes and 13 thrilling seasons, the Roadkill universe promises more adventures in 2025 and 2026. Unsure? Hear it directly from David Freiburger himself.

What's New on Roadkill?

The final 13th season of Roadkill premieres on MotorTrend TV in early 2025. If you're eager, you can catch it now on Discovery+ and Max, where several unseen Roadkill Garage episodes will also be available well into 2026. Though the show drives off into the sunset, the brand and the popular Roadkill Nights in Detroit continue to thrive, alongside the MotorTrend TV channel.

A Legendary Legacy

HOT ROD and MotorTrend are iconic pillars of Petersen Publishing, dating back to the first issue of HOT ROD magazine in 1948. The digital era saw HOT ROD and former MotorTrend chief Angus MacKenzie create YouTube shows like Roadkill. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan packed the series with creativity and humor, making Roadkill a flagship for MotorTrend on YouTube during the early days of digital storytelling.

Roadkill's unscripted antics and unique hot-rodding style drew in millions of subscribers, eventually surpassing 7 million, ranking just behind Top Gear. This success sparked Roadkill magazine and spinoffs like Roadkill Garage and Faster with Finnegan.

The Journey Continues

The devoted fanbase and streaming boom caught industry attention, leading to Discovery's investment in MotorTrend Group, which later became part of Warner Bros. Discovery in 2022. Although shows like Roadkill Garage and HOT ROD Garage are ending, this is just a pit stop. The Roadkill legacy continues.

Look forward to more episodes in 2025 and 2026, featuring your favorite stars at Roadkill Nights. MotorTrend Group has revitalized HOTROD.com, promising innovation for HOT ROD and Roadkill fans. MotorTrend and HOT ROD magazines, websites, and events remain vibrant, including HOT ROD Drag Week and Power Tour. New projects with MotorTrend Studios are in the works, especially on YouTube, where Roadkill began.

Summary

Roadkill isn't slowing down; it’s gearing up for another exhilarating ride. With upcoming episodes, events, and new content, keep your engines ready for what's next in the Roadkill saga.
