Paul Walker famously spent his 2 Fast 2 Furious earnings on a dream car. After earning $1 million from the film, he used part of it to create a remarkable Chevy.
Walker’s modified 1967 Chevy II Nova is now available on Bring a Trailer, in collaboration with Hearst Autos. The car was initially delivered in 2004 by Year One and further enhanced with a contemporary 5.3-liter Vortec V-8 engine.
Unlike the flashy modifications usually associated with Walker’s movie character, Brian O'Conner, this Chevy reflects tasteful restraint. The sleek 1967 design remains mostly intact, with a few subtle touches like a new steering wheel and white-faced Autometer gauges, lending it a timeless appeal.
- Engine: 5.3-liter Vortec V-8
- Transmission: 4L60-E four-speed automatic
- Differential: Positraction limited-slip
- Tires: 295-series BFGoodrich T/A
Its rear end boasts a tubbed design to accommodate wide tires, enhancing traction.
Enhanced with QA-1 adjustable coilovers, upgraded subframes, and a four-link rear suspension, this Nova is engineered for more than just drag races. While not a sleeper due to its power bulge and V-8 growl, it represents a well-executed restomod.
Already appealing as a car, the Nova's connection to Paul Walker and the Fast and Furious saga is expected to increase its auction value, with the auction closing on December 3.
Summary:
The 1967 Chevy II Nova, refined and imbued with celebrity allure, captures both classic charm and modern performance. As Paul's passion project, it exemplifies a harmonious blend of power and finesse, set to entice bidders as the deadline approaches.
