Celebrate 50 Years of BMW Art Cars on Their World Tour!

BMW is proud to commemorate a significant milestone this year: it's been 50 years since the eye-catching 3.0 CSL designed by artist Alexander Calder made its debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although it only managed to race for seven hours, it ignited a creative journey that culminated in a stunning collection of 20 Art Cars.

A World Tour to Remember

To honor this special anniversary, BMW is launching a world tour featuring these iconic vehicles. Due to logistical challenges, such as high insurance costs, not all the cars will travel simultaneously. Nevertheless, you can look forward to an extraordinary showcase:

- Kickoff Locations: The tour begins in March 2024, with stops across Europe and Asia.
- Notable Displays:
- Vienna: Join us on March 20-21 at the Museum of Applied Arts and SPARK Art Fair, where you can admire works by renowned artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
- Hong Kong: From March 28-30, we will showcase the latest Art Car by Julie Mehretu at Art Basel.

Year-long Celebration

While the complete schedule is still being finalized, some confirmed highlights include:

- Villa d’Este: Check out the E36 Touring Car by Sandro Chia in May.
- Louwman Museum: Eight cars will be on display in The Hague throughout July and August.
