On display is the stunning GR Yaris M Concept, showcasing Toyota's latest engineering triumph—a mid-engined Yaris. This transformation involves replacing the standard front-mounted turbo 3-cylinder engine with a mid-mounted 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. While specific power output details remain undisclosed, this new configuration promises an exhilarating driving experience.
The GR Yaris M Concept is set to partake in the Super Taikyu Series, thanks to the private racing team, Rookie Racing. Toyota’s rigorous “driver-first” testing approach ensures that Gazoo Racing vehicles are pushed to their limits under extreme racing conditions.
Besides the M Concept, Toyota is unveiling a stripped-down, liveried GR Yaris, poised for the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) in 2025. This car will feature a new automatic gearbox and compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, marking Toyota's return after a six-year break with Gazoo Rookie Racing.
Toyota is also introducing the GR Yaris Aero Package, a body-kitted hot hatch with additional vents and an impressive adjustable rear wing. Its dynamic appearance might be a hint at future production plans.
