Mike Koval pointed out that the rising cost of OEM parts is pushing consumers to seek aftermarket alternatives. To address this, Mopar introduced a budget-friendly line called BProAuto. These parts promise Mopar-quality at a 40% lower cost, sourced from trusted suppliers. Despite being more affordable, BProAuto has not significantly impacted sales of Mopar's flagship products.
Currently, BProAuto is available exclusively through Stellantis dealerships, but there are plans to expand its market presence. This initiative targets not only dealership sales but also independent auto repair shops. Future expansions aim to make BProAuto accessible at local auto stores and garages.
In a bold move, Mopar is launching BParts, an e-commerce platform dedicated to lightly used components. By partnering with salvage yards, dealers can find parts for older vehicles that are no longer in production. This initiative is unique among OEMs and meets the needs of consumers who maintain long-lasting vehicles.
Dealerships use Dealer Connect to locate these components and are gearing up for aged EVs, in line with Stellantis' sustainability objectives. The introduction of SustainEra underscores recycling and reuse, aligning with global environmental goals.
Mopar is innovating by offering affordable, quality parts through BProAuto and exploring used components with BParts. This strategy not only meets the needs of budget-conscious consumers but also supports environmental goals, positioning Mopar as a forward-thinking leader in the automotive parts industry.
