- Years and Models Affected:
- 2023 and 2024 Passport
- 2023 through 2025 Pilot
The problem is caused by the improper installation of the fuel filler neck tube and pipe, which may detach and lead to fuel leakage in a crash.

- Cause:
- Misalignment in assembly sequence
Honda estimates that only about 1% of recalled vehicles are expected to have this defect.
Despite receiving only one warranty claim and no reports of injuries, Honda will address the issue by:
- Sending out recall notices on January 6, 2025
- Providing repairs at no cost to the owner
Concerned owners can verify if their vehicle is affected by visiting the:
- NHTSA recalls site
- Honda's dedicated recalls website
Honda is recalling 205,760 SUVs due to a flaw in the fuel filler assembly that may cause fuel leaks in a crash, affecting certain 2023-2025 models. Owners should expect a recall notice by January 2025, with free repairs offered. For immediate verification, visit the NHTSA or Honda recall portals.
