Meet the Callum Skye, the first new vehicle crafted by the renowned designer Ian Callum. This 2+2 coupé combines the sleek appearance of a supercar with the robust allure of an all-terrain vehicle. While it's designed for off-roading, there's also a street-legal city version, aptly named the "dynamic," on the horizon.
The Skye is slightly more compact than a Kia Soul and boasts a dual-motor electric powertrain delivering 300 hp. Its 42-kWh battery provides a range of 170 miles. An optional advanced battery can charge from zero to 100% in under 10 minutes. Weighing in at under 2,600 pounds thanks to carbon fiber and composite materials, the Skye can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds. It offers two suspension options for off-road performance or balanced driving on various terrains. For street legality, the Skye features black tire guards that move with the wheels.
Though compact on the outside, the Skye's interior competes with luxury sports cars. It includes contoured sports seats and a removable rear bench. The blade-like front console expands into geometric shapes with touchscreen dials for controls, while the rubberized graphite footwell adds a practical touch.
The interior, crafted by the Bridge of Weir Advanced Design Studio, showcases Arctic Pearl semi-aniline leather with "Vitamin C" and silver accents. Analog instruments with bespoke graphics enhance its premium feel.
With only 50 units produced annually, prices range from $100,000 to $140,000. A rugged "capable" model is set to debut in 2025, featuring more durable interior materials.
The Callum Skye Electric Coupé is a stylish blend of luxury and off-road prowess, created by automotive legend Ian Callum. With its powerful performance and plush interior, this unique vehicle serves as both a city and adventure car, though its exclusivity comes at a considerable price.
